Alumni Association

 
  We, do believe that Alumni are our eyes and ears and yes we are all proud of Alumni. Let's stay in touch and network for the enrichment of the alumni and the alma mater. Specifically, we would like to continue to contribute to your professional growth, and to invite you to participate in and enrich our academic programmes and life on campus. We shall like to share support with you on all fronts as also seek information and suggestions from you.

As per the approval of the Board of Governors, the Alumni Association of the Institute has been constituted and all steps are being taken including the help from the local Alumni to get more and more names registered. In spite of the fact that only 3 batches have passed out from the Institute, we are glad to inform that so far we have registered nearly 365 Alumni. Two meetings of the local Alumni Association have been held so far on 9/3/2005 and 14/1/2006 respectively. The first meeting was attended by 44 members while 15 members could only attend the 2nd meeting which was followed by lunch. During the meeting, various issues related to increasing the registration in the Association and also to improve the academics as well as the placement of the Institute were discussed. It was indeed very heartening to note the attachment of our Alumni with their Alma Mater and receive very positive support and suggestions from them. The meeting of Alumni is fixed to be held twice in a year once in the month of January and once in the month of August. The Alumni are in constant touch with the placement cell keeping informed about the recruitment status of the company, which they are working for. Support is always received in terms of donation of books and helping the junior students in getting their internship and project.

It is, therefore, important that you, the alumnus, "register" with us. And for that, we seek from you information which helps us to exchange messages with you based on your special interests. As an example, we would like to invite you to our cultural programmes, sports meet etc if you happen to live in NCR region. We are going to start the online registration facility which will help other alumni locate you. Having registered once, you may always come back and update the information that pertains to you. Therefore, the site will have necessary security functions, but without the need for you to remember a user-id or a password.

OBJECTIVE

The objectives of the Association are:
  1. To provide a forum for the Alumni of the institute.
  2. To enable the institute alumni to keep in touch with the institute and with each other.
  3. To promote and foster espirit-de-corps amongst the past and present students and the teachers of the institute. 
  4. To contribute towards furtherance of Engineering and Technology, Management, Pharmacy relating to the academic activities at the college.
BENEFITS:

For Alumni
  1. To return to their alma mater and enjoy reunion with old friends ad also indulge in fun and frolic.
  2. Members can also attend college functions and events, and participate in special events.
  3. Widening of the horizon (Professional, Social and Cultural).
For Present Students

  1. Strengthening college career network (Pre-placement guidance)
  2. Nurturing the qualities and nourishing creativity, talent and skills of diverse kind of the students
  3. Industry institute interaction.
Activities:

It is proposed to initiate few projects for linking alumni and exchange knowledge for mutual benefit.
  1. Exchange programme for teachers and students Newsletter.
  2. Interactive session on burning issues.
Activities planned in near future:

  1. Develop data base of Alumni (email) and Software for facilitating correspondence. 
  2. Organise general body meeting /special meeting .
  3. Get-together of local alumni with families.
  4. Develop Question/Answer system on website.
