Master of Computer Application

 
 

Students are imparted advanced concepts of ITians specialization in areas like Unix programming environment, Database Management Techniques, Network Management and other industry related subjects. One full semester is dedicated to their familiarization with industry through on the job training.

MCA program aims at providing students with deep understanding of the computer hardware and software needed for various purpose.This course includes basic skills in the operation and use of computers and the application of software packages to solve business problems. It involves extensive practical work together with analysis of case studies. The course provides a thorough grounding in database concepts' and practice with particular emphasis on the relational model. The curriculum involves extensive practical work throughout the course together with analysis of case studies.

The MCA program also serves to provide students with knowledge of methods and computer aided software engineering (CASE) tools in information systems development. This degree also includes the application of quality management system and its evaluation. Practical understanding of the principles, application and usage of knowledge­based systems is also provided. Students are made aware of the available and emerging services of computer communications including exposure to the Internet and to the Global Information Superhighway (GIS).
